  1. Anchoring disability as a cross-cutting issue in academic curricula of Bachelor and Master Programmes on humanitarian action at German universities.
  2. Incorporating disability as a cross-cutting issue at specialist events

The successfully initiated cooperation with the AKKON Hochschule Berlin and the Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB) in phase 1 will be continued and extended in phase 2. We will strengthen the awareness and capacities of the next generation of humanitarian actors through:

Specialist Events

The inclusion of persons with disabilities in humanitarian action has not yet been sufficiently recognised in Germany. We aim at raising awareness to the broad professional public to acknowledge the importance of an equal protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in humanitarian emergencies through:

 

Participating in specialist events, lectures, expert and panel discussions on humanitarian action and incorporating disability as a cross-cutting issue at these events.
