Our project called Leave no one behind!

Welcome to the website for part 4 of our project called

Leave no one behind!

What the project is about

It is about making sure that people with disabilities get the right support when there are big problems in the world.

Like war, floods, big storms and not enough food or water.

There are organizations that support people when war or other problems happen.

For example, they give people food, clean water and medicine.

But people with disabilities are often left out.

Our project will help to change that.

We have already worked on some rules about the rights of people with disabilities.

The work we are doing for the project

The rules are about making sure that all people with disabilities get the right support when there are wars, floods, and other problems.

The rules also say that people with disabilities should have a big say in what happens to them.

The rules are on this website: tinyurl.com/IASCeasyread

Now we are supporting organizations to follow the rules.

What is happening for this part of the project

This is the last part of the project.

We want our work to really change things for the future.

The 4 main things we are working on are:

  1. Making sure that people with disabilities get the right support when war, floods or other big problems happen.
  2. Making sure that more organizations have the information and training they need to include people with disabilities.
  3. Making sure that more people with disabilities can take part in this work and have a real say in what happens.
  4. Making sure that more organizations around the world include people with disabilities now and in the future.

That means organizations that support people when big problems happen.

How we are doing this work

  1. We are working with organizations around the world to help them do more to include people with disabilities.
  2. We are also working in 6 countries in Africa.
  3.  We are using what we have learned already from the project and sharing it with more people.

For example, we are giving more organizations our information and training about how to include people with disabilities.

We are also making new information and training that organizations can use.

We are working with people with disabilities and other organizations to make the information and training.

For example, we are making new information and training for organizations and people with disabilities about:

  • Making sure that everyone has enough food to eat.
  • Making sure that everyone has clean water and the things they need to wash and keep clean.
  • Making sure that everyone gets the healthcare they need.
  • Keeping everyone safe when there is war or violence.

We are supporting local organizations and people with disabilities to know how to use our information and training.

4.  We are working more with organizations of people with disabilities to make sure they can take part in this work

We are giving people with disabilities support and training to take part in our project.

For example, people with disabilities are helping to run our training.

They are also helping organizations to know how to include people with disabilities.

We are also supporting people with disabilities in different countries to work together and share information.

We want people with disabilities to have a real say in what happens.

So we are supporting people with disabilities to help make decisions about what to do when big problems happen in their country.

5.  We are getting more groups of experts to help with this work.

Experts are people who know a lot about something.

The experts work in local areas. They help other people to know how to include people with disabilities.

People with disabilities are part of these groups of experts.
