Capacity Building General Universities & Specialists Events

On 6th and 7th July 2023, our “Phase 3 – Leave no one behind!” team gives a guest lecture at the Akkon Hochschule für Humanwissenschaften on Inclusive Humanitarian Action.

Our project team presents a guest lecture to students at the AKKON University under the Bachelor on Emergency and Catastrophe Relief programme to talk about disability, intersectionality and the IASC guidelines, including scenario work to practice operationalising the four Must-Do Actions. Since Phase 2, the “Leave no one behind!” team has been working with the university to foster awareness on inclusive humanitarian action by guiding the humanitarians of the next generation.

As part of the same capacity development activities, the “Phase 3 – Leave no one behind! project also recently gave a similar guest lecture at the Network of Humanitarian Action’s (NOHA) Master on Humanitarian Action within IFHV. In order to build a humanitarian system which can design and deliver inclusive humanitarian assistance, we must start with developing the capacity of the next generation.
