We are pleased to share new videos featuring our collaboration with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs). In these testimonials, our OPD partners from East Africa reflect on how the partnership with LNOB has influenced their work and increased their impact in humanitarian coordination.
The Regional Peer Exchange Workshop, held in Kampala in February 2026, was not just a platform for exchanging knowledge between the OPDs—it was also a space for reflection. For our Phase 4 – Leave no one behind! (LNOB) project, the event provided invaluable insights into how OPDs perceive their collaboration with LNOB and their role in humanitarian system. In these video testimonials the representatives from OPDs across Uganda, South Sudan and Somalia/Somaliland reflect on how the partnership has strengthened their capacity, visibility, and influence in humanitarian coordination, highlighting several areas of change:
- Strengthening of technical knowledge, enabling OPDs to advocate more effectively for disability-inclusive humanitarian action.
- Expanding networks with other OPDs, humanitarian clusters, and key actors.
- Advancing the uptake of the IASC guidelines on inclusion, so that persons with disabilities are included across sectors and phases of humanitarian action.
Hear directly from OPD leaders and staff about their experiences and the impact of this collaboration:
This ongoing collaboration demonstrates the value of working closely with OPDs to create a more disability-inclusive humanitarian system.
