Cameroon is a country located in Central Africa, bordered by Nigeria to the west, Chad to the northeast, the Central African Republic to the east, and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south. The country is currently facing the humanitarian impact of three complex crises: the Lake Chad Basin conflict, the North-West and South-West crisis, and the influx of refugees from the Central African Republic.
In 2025, an estimated 3.3 million people in Cameroon require lifesaving assistance and protection. Violence, natural disasters, and epidemics continue to threaten the well-being and living conditions of local populations, especially the most at risk, including women, girls, persons with disabilities, persons of older age, and children, who bear the brunt of violence and disrupted basic services. Displacement, limited access to essential services such as healthcare and education, and loss of livelihoods have further exacerbated humanitarian and protection needs across the country.
