Planning and Implementation of Disability-Inclusive Cash and Voucher Assistance (iCVA)

The project „Phase 3 – Leave no one behind!“ would like to invite you to our upcoming training on „Planning and Implementation of Disability-Inclusive Cash and Voucher Assistance (iCVA)“.

Dates & Times

  • Online Introduction: January 24, 9:30am – 1:00pm CET
  • Self-Paced Learning Exercise: between January 24 and January 31 (~60mins.)
  • Face to Face Workshop in Berlin: February 1-2, 9:30am – 4:00pm CET
  • Individual Advisory sessions: Upon request

All sessions of the training will be conducted in English.

The online session on the 24th of January will be via Zoom.

Venue

The face-to-face workshop on 1st and 2nd of February will take place in Hotel Grenzfall, Ackerstraße 136, 13355 Berlin.

Target Audience

The target group of the training are project managers of CVA programmes and technical advisors for CVA programming of German-based humanitarian actors and their (local) offices and partners.

Objective

The objective of the training is to increase the understanding of how to apply the IASC Guidelines on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action for CVA programming with a specific focus on needs assessment and addressing the specific needs of persons with disabilities.

Methodology

The training will follow a “blended learning” approach which includes online and face-to-face sessions. The training will start with an online introduction to the basics of disability inclusion in humanitarian action and an online self-learning exercise of around 60 minutes to be conducted between January 24 and January 31 .

The two days face-to-face workshop will include a mix of input presentations, group and scenario working sessions, plenary discussions, and the option for individual advisory sessions. Persons with disabilities will be actively engaged as guest speaker sessions.

The training is free of charge. Necessary transport and hotel for the face-to-face workshop needs to be covered by the participants.
