Our project partner IFHV, the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict, Ruhr University Bochum organised a workshop to discuss on best practices on disability inclusion in field of humanitarian action.

The Phase 3 – Leave no one behind! workshop on the joint edited volume “Disability Inclusion in Humanitarian Action: From Promises to Practice” successfully concluded on September 6th and 7th at the Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV), Ruhr University Bochum. Participants from Germany, Indonesia, Georgia, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, and Bangladesh engaged in lively discussions on best practices for disability inclusion, the “Four Must-Do Actions,” guidelines, field-level implementation, and the broader global architecture of disability inclusion in humanitarian action.

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, identify challenges, and explore potential solutions for enhancing disability inclusion in humanitarian action. The insights gained from these discussions will significantly contribute to the success of the edited volume, which will be the first of its kind to focus on case studies of disability inclusion in humanitarian action across a diverse set of crises.
